Well, it's getting down to the wire now. That anxious feeling of a deadline is really sinking in. There's only 8 days left until Icebreaker '09, and there is still a lot of work to be done. The car is painted and lettered, but I keep finding little things wrong with the car. I knew it would take me the enitre 5 months from the World Series to get the car ready.

New problem? Trying to patch the radiator. I don't have the money for a new one after putting the car back together, and I keep finding little leaks in it from the accident, so every day is spent with tubes of JB Weld, trying to hold the water in. The car runs and moves, it's just got some kind of incontinence problem...

I've been so busy with work that I haven't been able to make it to any of the practices. I've only been able to scale the car, and hope for the best. I really need the seat time, but I'm not going to get any because of the work I'm stuck doing at my job, and the work that still needs to be done on the car. I'll be ready for the Icebreaker, but I'll be behind the other guys running for the ROTY. However, I'm running the best equipment, and I'll have a little racing experience from last year.

So it's going to be a tense week, not to mention a tense year with tinkering on the setup, trying to perfect it to my driving style. But, if I get through the year in one piece, and have a good time doing it and learning along the way, it'll be a successful year!
